About Me!
A Self-Taught Indie Game Developer
Hi there! I'm a passionate self-taught indie game developer with a deep love for programming and technology, especially when it comes to games.
My Educational Background
I hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from City and Guilds of London. I was also pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and was in my final year. However, due to certain circumstances, I couldn't complete the degree. If you're curious about this part of my journey, feel free to reach out via email or the contact form below—I’m happy to discuss it privately.
How It All Began
I was inspired by the classic games I played growing up, which led me to embark on this learning journey. Honestly, I never thought I would reach the level of skills I have today.
I started in 2015 with the Corona Game Engine, which was my first hands-on experience in game development. Later, I explored Unreal Engine, but eventually discovered Unity Engine, which has been my go-to platform ever since.
The Journey of a Solo Developer
While programming is my primary skill, being a solo developer means wearing many hats. Over the years, I’ve taught myself:
3D Modeling, 2D/3D Design, Map Design, Music Theory and Sound Effects, Visual Effects and more.
Game development is truly a never-ending process, and there's always something new to learn.
Social Media and Marketing
In addition to development, I’ve dabbled in social media. I managed to grow a Facebook page for one of my apps to over 7,000 followers. However, balancing marketing and development proved to be a challenge, as my focus was mostly on creating and refining games.
Past Work Experience
Before diving into game development, I worked in various roles, including:
Electrician
Shop Assistant
Building Assistant
worked in a clothing shop
worked in a drinking company loading trucks.
Each of these experiences taught me valuable lessons, but game development has always been my true passion.
Thank you for taking the time to read about my journey! If you’d like to connect or have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out through the contact form or my email. I’d love to hear from you!
